A F Sheldon

A F Sheldon (1868 - 1935), full name Arthur Frederick Sheldon, was a great teacher and educationist, who founded the Sheldon School, whose correspondence course was studied by thousands of students. His interests, as reflected in his correspondence course materials and related articles, range from a focus on facilitating exchange relationships through to concerns with distributive justice, sales ethics and the promotion of an American economic and political vision across the globe. His major works include "The art of selling : for business colleges, high schools of commerce ... "(1911), "The science of business, being the philosophy of successful human activity functioning in business building or constructive salesmanship" (1917) and "The science of successful salesmanship; a series of lessons correlating the basic laws which govern the sale of goods for profit."
