Abd-el-Kader

Abd-el-Kader (1078-1166), full name Abd-al-Qadir-al Jilani, was a Persian sufi saint and leader of sufism from Baghdad (modern Iraq). He was a founder of the Qadiriya sect. He is known for his influence and the devotion he inpired in his followers.
