Abdomen

Abdomen is the belly that contains digestive organs of a vertebrate.

Technically, it is the hind portion of an animal's body, located below the rib cage in mammals and below the thorax in arthropods. In mammals, the abdomen contains the viscera excluding the heart and lungs.

Abdomen is bounded by the diaphragm and the pelvis, especially in mammals including human beings.
