Abdullah ibn Hussein

Abdullah ibn Hussein (1882-1951) was king of Jordan. He survived as emir of Transjordan under a British mandate from 1921 to 1946. He became king of independent Jordan in 1946 and remained a king until 1951, when he was assassinated.
