The Ablative Case

The ablative case is a case in grammar in several languages.

It is a type of noun inflection that is used generally to express motion away from something.

Take an example from Sanskrit - Vrikshat patrani patanti (Leaves fall from tree). The word 'Vrikshat' is in ablative case, which means 'from tree (Vriksh)'.
