Abnaki

Abnaki (also spelled Abenaki) is a tribal community of a North American Indian people of Maine on the Atlantic coast to southern Quebec. They are a tribe of Native Americans living in the New England region of the United States and Quebec and the Maritimes of Canada, a region called Wabanaki. Anything relating to these people or a member of the community is called Abnaki.

Wabanaki comes from their language called Algonquian, however, both the Eastern and Western Abnaki languages are nearly extinct.
