Absentee ballot

Absentee ballot is the ballot for casting votes in an election in advance and mailing it to the returning officer of a constituency.

Absentee ballots are issued in advance to a person, who is a voter of the constituency, where elections are scheduled to be held and already notified by the election commission or any competent authority, and who is unable to be present at the polls due to some valid reasons.
