Abu Hanifah

Abu Hanifah (d. 767) was an Arab-Persian Islamic jurist. He is considered first and probably the most important legal scholar of Islam, who founded first and the largest school of Islamic jurisprudence which is known as Iraq school. He was noted for his tolerance. One of his disciples, Abu-Yusuf, wrote down his views in the Kitab al-Kharaj.
