Acanthodian

Acanthodian refers to a fossil fish, a kind that was found mainly in the Devonian period roughly 419.2 to 358.9 million years ago. These extinct group of fish were small, spiny-finned and jawed, sharing features with both bony fish and cartilaginous fish.
