Acculturation
Acculturation is the process of assimilation of a person or group into a culture, typically the dominant one, of a different people.There can be many reasons of acculturation. It can be natural interaction between different cultures or can be imposition of one culture onto the other.
J.W. Powell is credited with coining the word "acculturation" in 1880. He defined it as "the psychological changes induced by cross-cultural imitation".
