Accusatorial

Accusatorial is a legal term that refers to a system of trial or legal procedure conducted in public by an impartial court, who is not at all involved in investigation of a case, and acts impartially, hears the prosecutor and the defendant and delivers justice.

Such a system was prevalent in ancient days.
