ACONITE

Aconite is a poisonous plant native to temperate regions of the northern hemisphere. It is a plant of the ranunculus order with a tapering root.

This plant belongs to the buttercup family bearing hooded pink or purple flowers.

Monk's-hood and wolfsbane are noteworthy among many of its species.

The extract of such a plant is also known as aconite which is either used as poison or medicine.
