Acoustic impedance

Acoustic impedance is a term used in physics that refer to the measure of resistance which a surface in a sound wave presents when an acoustic pressure is applied to it.

It is the ratio of the pressure over an imaginary surface in a sound wave to the rate of flow of particle across the surface.
