Activation analysis

Activation analysis is a technique of analysis in chemistry. It is also known as Neutron activation analysis (NAA) by which the concentrations of elements in a vast amount of materials are determined.

In this system of analysis, atoms of a particular element in a sample are first made radioactive by irradiation with neutrons, and then their concentration is radiologically determined.
