ACUPUNCTURE

ACUPUNCTURE is a complementary system of medicine, originated in ancient China involving pricking of skin or tissues, but now spread all over the world.

In this system, an affected part of the body is pricked with a needle, leaving it for a short time in it, sometimes for as long as an hour.

It is used to alleviate pain or to treat various physical and mental ailments. Certain emotional conditions are also treated in this system.
