Adam and Eve

Adam was the first man, not born, but created on the sixth day of creation by the God from dust, and the God put him in the Paradise, according the the Genesis, the first chapter of the Holy Bible. The God also created Eve as Adam's companion out of Adam's one rib taken out form him while he was in deep sleep. Some interpretations suggested the rib was from the left side, but the Bible does not explicitly say this.

The modern genetics has led us to a theory of Afican descent of humans from around 200,000 years ago. Therefore, as against Biblical Eve, we have also Mitochondrial Eve based on evidence on mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA), or African Eve. We have also Y-chromosomal Adam, also called African Adam, the most recent common male ancestor from whom all living men are descended patrilineally.
