Adam of Bromen

Adam of Bromen, real name Adam von Bremen or simply Adam Bremen (b. before1050 – d. on 12 October in 1081 or 1085), was a German medieval chronicler. He was a distinguished Christian missionary in the 11th century. He was the author of a celebrated Church history of North Europe from 788 to 1072, titled 'Gesta Hammenburgensis Ecclesiæ Pontificum'.
