Addict

Addict is a person who is addicted to a substance such as narcotics, drugs, alcohol etc. Such a person becomes physically or psychologically dependent on the substance and finds oneself unable to stop taking it.

When an addict stops taking such a substance, he/she often suffers from withdrawal symptoms.
