Addison's disease

Addison's disease is a health condition in which a person suffers from a progressive anemia, low blood pressure, great weakness and bronze discolouration of the skin due to inadequate secretion of hormones by the adrenal cortex.

The disease was first described by the famous English physician Thomas Addison (1793-1860), that is why it is named after his name.
