Adjuvant

Adjuvant is a term in medicine that refers to a substance used as drug to boost up the body's immune response to antigens.

It is also a kind of therapy that is applied to a cancer patient after initial treatment. Such an adjuvant is intended to suppress secondary tumour formation afterwards.
