Adrenal

Adrenal is a term used in anatomy that refers to a pair of ductless glands situated above the kidneys. Anything of or related to it is also called adrenal.

The pair of glands are generally called adrenals. Each of the glads consists of a core inner region and an outer region.

The inner region is called adrenal medulla that secretes epinephrine and norepinephrine.

The outer region is called adrenal cortex that secretes corticosteroids.
