Adrishyanti

Adrishyanti, in Hindu mythology, was the wife of the sage Shakti and mother of the great Indian sage and astrologer Parashar. She was grandmother of Maharshi Vyas who is known as the author of the Brahmasutra, Jaya (that developed as the Mahabharata), and several sacred texts of Hinduism, and collector and compiler of 18 puranas and the Vedas in collaboration with his five chief disciples.
