Advanced gas-cooled reactor

Advanced gas-cooled reactor, AGR is short, is a kind of nuclear reactor in which carbon dioxide gas is used as a coolant.

Graphite is used as a moderator in such reactors while uranium oxide is used as fuel put inside steel chambers. Chambers are needed to be cooled to prevent any nuclear explosion.
