Advertisement

Advertisement is a public presentation for or of something to inform, announce, or promote products, services, offers etc intended to turn people's attention to the thing advertised. Advertisements are regulated by laws of the land where they appear. One cannot advertise anything that is prohibited by law.

The public medium in which the advertisement appears may be anything, a newspaper, radio, television, internet, outdoor display boards, etc.

Advertisement may contain images, sounds, voice, language etc that the advertiser deems fit to be advertised and agreeable to the medium in which it appears.

It may draw public attention to a product, a service, an event, or anything else that the advertiser wants to advertise.

Advertisements are publicised generally on payments, but certain media institutions also give this service free of cost.
