Affinity

Affinity, in human behaviour, is someone's natural liking for some other person or thing.

Affinity also refers to similarity in characteristics of things, such as among plants, animals, languages etc.

In sociology, it refers to a relationship by marriage.

In biochemistry, it refers to the tendency of a substance to chemically combine or remain combined with another substance.
