Affluenza
Affluenza is a psychological term that refers to a mental disorder found generally in affluent young persons. It originates from excess of wealth, its blind pursuits, and consumerism.A person suffering from this condition shows symptoms like lack of motivation, inability of feeling guilt and understanding the consequences of one's own actions, anxiety, and high emotional fluctuation.
Such a mental disorder is the result of placing a high value on money, possessions, appearances (physical and social) and fame, says British psychologist Oliver James.
