Agadès

Agadès, is the former spelling of Agadez, a city in Niger. It was once important depôt of trade in the South of the Sahara, which decayed much by the beginning of the 20th century.

Agadez is now the capital city of the eponymous Agadez Region, and is also the capital of Aïr, one of the traditional Tuareg–Berber federations.
