AGOUTI

AGOUTI is a burrowing rodent, larger and long-legged. It is native to Central and South America and found in large number in Brazil, Paraguay, and Guiana, considered very destructive to roots and sugar-canes.

It belongs to the Dasyproctidae family and is related to the guinea pig. There are several species of this rodent.
