Agrippina

Agrippina (AD 15 – AD 59), also known as Agrippina the Younger, full name Julia Agrippina, was the Roman empress between AD 49 and AD 54. She was the daughter of Germanicus and Agrippina the Elder, born at Cologne, and the mother of Nero. Her third husband was her uncle, the Emperor Claudian, whom she got to adopt her son, and then poisoned him, in order to place her son on the throne. However, the latter, resenting her intolerable ascendancy, had her put to death in 59. She was the fourth wife of emperor Claudius.
