Ahilya Asthan

Ahilya Asthan, a variant spelling of Ahilya Sthan, is the name of the temple of Ahilya in Darbhanga district of Bihar in India. The village where it is located derives its name from this temple. It is situated at about 24 km northwest of Darbhanga town.

A well known legend of the sage Gautam and his wife Ahilya, as told in the epics and Puranas, is attached with this temple. Inside the Shrine is a flat stone said to contain the foot prints of Sita, wife of Ram, as the main object of worship.
