Ahmadou Kourouma

Ahmadou Kourouma (1927-2003) was an Ivorian Coast writer and novelist is known for blending Western genres with African thinking. He authored Les soleils des independence (The Suns of Independence) expressing dissatisfaction with independence, which is considered best Ivory Coast novel.
