Aigrette

Aigrette is an ornament of headdress. It derives its name from egret, a bird having tufted crest or head-plumes. The headdress is also simply referred to as aigrette because of its being adorned with a white egret's feather.

Sometimes, aigrettes are also decorated by a spray of gems, or similar ornaments.
