Air conditioning

Air conditioning is a system of controlling temperature, humidity and ventilation of the air in a building or vehicle by a refrigeration unit powered by electricity or natural gas. This definition excludes fans, blowers, or evaporative cooling systems (swamp coolers) that are not connected to a refrigeration unit.

Air conditioning is typically used for cooling and dehumidifying in warm conditions.
