Alaskan malamute

Alaskan malamute, also spelled malemute, is a dog of a breed used to pull sleds. It is known for its greater physical strength than other dogs'. It has thick gray coat.

This breed was developed by Inuit malimiut people of Kotzebue Sound region of Alaska in the United States, and thus derived its name from them.
