Albert von Haller

Albert von Haller (1708-1777), also Albrecht von Haller, was a Swiss was a celebrated anatomist, physiologist, botanist, physician, and poet, born at Bern. He was professor of Medicine at Göttingen and author of works in all these departments. He took a keen interest in all the movements and questions of the day, literary and political, as well as scientific. He was a voluminous author and writer.
