Albizzia

Albizzia, also spelled albizia, is a leguminous shrub and tree native to warm climates. It is named after Filippo degli Albizzi, a Tuscan nobleman who introduced the silk tree A. julibrizzen into Italy in the mid 18th century. It grows feathery leaves and densely clustered plumelike flowers. It is now grown mainly as an ornamental or shade tree.

It comes from the genus Albizia and belongs to Leguminosae family. There are number of species of this tree.
