Alexander Gottlieb Baumgarten
Alexander Gottlieb Baumgarten (1714-1762) was a German professor of Philosophy at Frankfort-on-the-Oder, born at Berlin. He was a disciple of Wolf. He was the founder of Aesthetics as a department of philosophy, and inventor of the name.Nearby pages
