ALEXANDER THE GREAT is the popular name by which Alexander (356-323 BC), the king of Macedonia, is known throughout the world. However, his greatness is much debated matter, and many scholars deny his greatness on account of his indulging in violence. Invading and conquering is not greatness, assert such scholars.
