Ali Pasha

Ali Pasha (1815-1871), full name Mehmed Emin Ali Pasha, was an eminent reforming Turkish statesman, a key figure in the Ottoman Reform Edict of 1856. He was a prominent Ottoman statesman during the Tanzimat period. He was also a key figure achieving the Treaty of Paris (1856).
