ALLOPATHY

ALLOPATHY, in opposition to homoeopathy, is system of the treatment of disease by producing either a condition of the system different from or opposite to the condition essential to the disease to be cured.

In simple terms, it is a system of medicine in which drugs are used to produce opposite effects to the symptoms.
