Amen

Amen is word of exclamation which literally means 'so be it.' It is a solemn ecclesiastical expression generally uttered at the end of a prayer or hymn. It is used sometimes also to express assent.

The word is derived from Hebrew in which it means 'true', and is adopted in the Septuagint to express affirmation or belief in a solemn ecclesiastical fashion.

The word may thus mean, {{I or We] agree, assent, or affirm; or solemnly say 'true'.
