AMERICAN INDIANS

AMERICAN INDIANS are a race with a red or copper-coloured skin, coarse black straight hair, high cheek-bones, black deep-set eyes, and tall erect figure. They are limited to America, and it seems, for most part they are fast dying out. They are to be found still as far south as Patagonia, the Patagonians being of the race.

They are the aborigines of America. These aborigines were called Indians by Columbus, because when he discovered America he thought it was India.
