American Samoa

American Samoa is an overseas territory of the United States since 1899, but yet to be fully incorporated. Fagatogo is its capital city.

This territory is located east of Western Samoa and south of Kiribati. It is a group of islands in the southern Pacific Ocean.

The United States got this group of islands by an agreements with Germany and Britain in 1899 except the two main islands which were ceded to it in April 1990 by their chiefs.
