Amitotic

Amitotic is a biological term which refers to the division of a cell nucleus into two parts without the involvement of a mitotic apparatus. The word is used as opposed to mitotic. Amitotic is also something relating to such a division. Such a division of a cell nucleus is done usually by constriction.
