Ammonite

Ammonite, also sometimes ammonites, is a genus of fossil shells curved into a spiral form like the ram-horn on the head of the image of Jupiter Ammon, the Greek name for the Egyptian deity Amen. It is an ammonoid belonging to the order Ammonitida. It has typically elaborate frilled suture lines.
