AMOY

Amoy, also known as Xiamen or Hsia-men, is one of the open ports of China, on a small island in the Strait of Fukien. It is situated in Fujian province in southeastern China. It has one of the finest harbours in the world, and a large export and import trade. The chief exports are tea, sugar, paper, gold-leaf, &c.
