Ampulla

Ampulla is a kind of flask almost spherical in shape. Two handles are attached to hold an ampulla by both the hands. Such flasks were used in ancient Rome, especially for sacred purpose such as holding holy oil.

In zoology and anatomy, a cavity or the dilated end of a duct shaped like an ampulla is also called ampulla.
