ANACONDA

Anaconda is a gigantic serpent of tropical America, particularly native to tropical South America. It is a semi-aquatic snake of the boa (Boidae) family. It belongs to the Genus 'Eunectes'. Several species of this snake are found that includes the green anaconda.

There is a also a word 'henakonda' in Sinhalese and therefore the word 'anaconda' is also used to refer to a kind of Sri Lankan snake 'python'.
