ANACREON

Anacreon (c.570-478 BC) was a celebrated Greek lyric poet. He is best known for his songs in praise of love and wine, not many fragments of them are preserved. His lyrics are just celebrations of love and wine.

Anacreon was a native of Teos, in Asia Minor. He lived chiefly at Samos and Athens.
