Analog

Analog, also analogue, in common parlance, is someone or something comparable to someone or something else.

In chemistry, it is a compound with a molecular structure having close similarity to the structure of some other compound.

In physics, this term relates to signals or information represented by a continuously variable physical quantity. Common examples of Analog signals are pressure, light, sound, and temperature- all of which can be electrically represented by Analog current or voltages.

The watches showing time by means of hands rather than digits are also called analog watches.
